WestVirginiaVille turned one-year-old in May 2021. We’ve been all-free in all that time and hope to remain so. But we have costs, especially with increasing documentary production and paying freelancers out of our own pockets. We’ll be rolling out an IndieGoGo campaign later this year for those who wish to see us survive.
SUPPORT THIS PUBLICATION: Meanwhile, you may inject money into the publication’s veins via my PayPal at: PayPal.me/douglaseye. (I promise I won’t spend donations on cigars, double cappuccinos or insurrections.) You can also sponsor by the month our video/documentary work or whole pages on this site with banner ads. We welcome inquiries. Either use our Contact form or e-mail: heythereATwestvirginiaville.com
In March 2021, we took on our first sponsorship with WVPure, a CBD hemp oil organically grown on a family farm along the Greenbrier River in Hinton WV. The monthly sponsorship includes our design of a banner ad (below) which has been seen across the site and on e-mailings of our free newsletter to its 500 subscribers. We also built a landing page for the product, which includes some of the back-story of this hand-cultivated product on owner John Farrell’s great-grandfather’s farm.
The WVPure brand is also listed as a supporter/sponsor on our award-winning multimedia in the month of March 2021, including the world premiere of our music video of the Ron Sowell/Jon Wilstrom song, “Be the Change.” Since its release, the music video has been viewed almost 10,000 times on Facebook (where our page has more than 1,100 followers), on Youtube (630 subscribers) and on this website.
