“The Light Show” is an instrumental music video by the Silent Gondoliers, featuring Casi Null on electric bass and Douglas Imbrogno on Taylor guitar. The Gondoliers are among several acts featured at the 2010 Solstice Ball, an evening of music, drumming and meditation in honor of the Winter Solstice.
The event takes place 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19, at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at 520 Kanawha Boulevard W., in Charleston, W.Va.. The eveing is a benefit for UUC on behalf of the congregation’s hosting of the Third Sunday Drum Circle and The Buddhist Meditation Circle of West Virginia, which meets 6 to 7:15 p.m. each Tuesday there.
Admission is $5 and the purchase of a ticket puts you in a raffle for a variety of gifts. Below are more details on the night. You are also invited to spread the word to Facebook friends. How do you get there? Here’s how.
The Evening includes a Fire Ritual around a bonfire and treats (you’re invited to bring some for the snacks table). The drumming and music lineup so far:
5:30 PM: DRUM CIRCLE | Bring your drum and some will be on hand.
7 PM: CIRCLE of SOUND | Event organizer Chris Higgins sums up this collection of performers as “an ambient rave nature soundscape supa group.”
7:30 to 8:30 PM: THIRD EYE CABARET | An hour of soundscapes and ruminative song and spoken word, featuring Casi Null, Nery Arevalo, Jenny Topaz Dragonfly, Douglas Imbrogno, Cardinal Crowe and possibly some other musical worthies who have not confirmed yet.

I love this video, Doug. The documentation of that Culturefest magic is ever so keen. Like the others, I can’t wait to see it on the big screen. in The Room Upstairs, that is.
